Originally from Kent and a passionate rugby and cricket player in his youth, Nigel continues to avidly follow these sports in an armchair/sports arena capacity! Having worked in London in international banking and latterly consulting in project management/business analysis roles, Nigel was ready to give up the grind for a “good life”. Nigel loves any kind of live music especially “prog rock” and will subject Juliette to evenings watching bands she’s never heard about! Since moving to Devon, Nigel feels that “every day is a holiday”! Watch the video to find out a little more about Nigel!
Born and bred as a Maid of Kent, Juliette is now onto her fourth career having worked in international banking in London, been a full time mum, returned to education as a mature student and retrained as a primary school teacher/SENCo, Juliette loves hospitality and is probably the “creative” one! A keen member of Torquay Central WI, she loves sewing, knitting, crochet and anything that involves glue, she also likes to bake and subjects guests to the results of her endeavours. Watch the first video to find out a little more about Juliette and watch the second video to discover more about Juliette's love for lighthouses!
Sam moved to Devon from Kent a couple of years ago and helps out during busy times at Heathcliff House. You may find him waiting your table at breakfast, bringing you toast, topping up hot water or clearing plates alternatively you may pass him in the hallway on his way to or from work at Tesco in Paignton.
Courtney first worked with us during Summer 2017 when, as an amazingly confident 15-year-old, she knocked at our door looking for work! Having finished GCSEs and embarked on an engineering course at South Devon College, guests had the pleasure of her friendly, enthusiastic service and efficient housekeeping skills during 2018. During the winter she has been working at a well-known McFastFood provider but she's re-joined the team for the 2019 season.
