About Heathcliff House

Heathcliff House is a really special place to stay in Torquay at the heart of the English Riviera and less than a mile from the sea front.
We are a multi Award Winning bed and breakfast with our very own Christie's Bar that caters exclusively for adults, but if you want to get out and about then we have over 100 Bars and restaurants within a mile!
The town centre is just little over half a mile away and the train station is only a 5 minute walk.

With a genuine warm welcome, great transport links, stress-free parking, award winning breakfast, hi-speed wi-fi, and excellent value for money.

You will enjoy a peaceful and relaxing stay and a great night's sleep in warm, clean, comfortable rooms with sparkling en-suite bathrooms.

We provide hairdryers, towels, toiletries and hot drink making facilities in each room so you don't have to pack everything.

About our breakfast

Breakfast is a leisurely affair, so you don't have to rush, you can sit back, relax and enjoy.Make your choice from our extensive Award Winning, breakfast menu each morning, with everything freshly cooked to order just as you like it. 


The locally sourced quality food includes free range eggs, sausages, black pudding and bacon from our local butcher, John Winsor, at Prentice Butchers, about 200 metres away in Belgrave Road.


You can enjoy yogurt, berries and fresh fruit. Jams and marmalades along with a range of cereals, crossiants and pain au chocolates.


Your special dietary needs including vegan or vegetarian diets, gluten or lactose intolerances or other allergies are all catered for. Please contact Alex and Stacey to discuss your requirements.


Breakfast is served daily from 7.45 a.m. until 9.15 a.m. Hot orders are taken until 8.45 a.m.  The Breakfast Room is located on the lower ground floor which is accessed by a flight of fourteen steps. There is a sturdy handrail.


There is one table per room so you do not have to share with anyone else, unless you want to!


Some of our guests love the bacon and sausages so much they visit Prentice Butchers shop to buy some to take home! Make sure to mention to John that you are staying at Heathcliff House!
